Nice one. I didn't try with connecting my piano to try but assuming it's working already.

Feedback: - If there was a way to import songs it could be super useful. - Speed config didn't work me.

Cheers! The full app (https://piano-dojo.com/) has MusicXML import for any piano score! Will check out that speed bug.

Hey everyone!

Quick update after the initial launch a couple of weeks ago, the Firefox add-on for DanceJump is now live!

DanceJump now works on Chrome, Edge, and Firefox.

Along with Firefox support, the last updates also include:

a proper welcome / tutorial page for first-time users

a visible menu button so settings are easy to find (no Firefox-extension knowledge needed)

multiple bug fixes and stability improvements

a download chart option for those who want to experiment further

DanceJump still does the same simple thing: Turn any YouTube video into a rhythm game you can play directly on top of the video, using a keyboard, controller, or dance mat.

No accounts. No tracking. No ads. Just music, movement, and fun.

I also want to say thank you to HN folks! A lot of the early feedback, questions, and criticism from the community directly influenced this release.

Even when opinions differed, the feedback was genuinely helpful. Thank you!

More improvements coming, but I wanted to share this milestone first.

Happy dancing!

What was the OS by the way?

MacOS Sonoma 14.8.3

Looks like it falled back to tap to beat mode for you due to some audio reading issues. Normally it listens the audio and finds the bpm automatically. If you can check the developer logs and send a bug report, I can have a look at it.

Add a debug=true in the local storage if there is not much logs.

I created a new Chrome profile, installed extension, and this time it autodetected:

[INFO] DanceJump: Tap-to-Beat enabled (fallback mode) - UI hidden until needed
game.js:35 [INFO] DanceJump: Beat Tracker enabled - attempting audio analysis
game.js:35 [INFO] DanceJump: Background Tracker Started successfully
game.js:35 [INFO] DanceJump: Stage 1 - Starting auto-generation with placeholder chart
So good job! Tried it with this song:

Feedback:

Default steps were pretty simple, the "arrow" on the right only lets you pause/unpause. I couldn't figure out an easy way to crank up the difficulty. You might even consider an auto-increase of difficulty. As they get more correct, increase the density of arrows as the song progresses.

OP here. I needed a lightweight Go wrapper for GitHub Models and couldn't find one. This library provides:

- completion for user and org level

- zero dependencies

- example code in the README

Would love feedback from Go devs using LLMs.

I liked the policy studio, is it also open sourced?
